Vittoria Assembri (B. 1982, Italy)

Vittoria Assembri is a Visual Artist based in Italy.

The Vittoria’s artwork is absorbed by the author’s body, giving rise to external manifestations which are considered as Documents. Those fragments are the archipelago of a traumatic wound, which she doesn’t want to forget but she aspires to transform and sublime, during a cathartic process. She borrows material pieces from the history, she collects rests and wastes that she finds on her steps and she merges them in different compositions, giving them new lives, and new languages.

There is a dialectical relation between ephemeral and eternal. Her work has a constant narrative which features like a constellation illuminated by many philosophical concepts and references.

She is a polyhedral artist. She realizes her artworks through paintings, collages, installations, videos and land art projects.
